A selection of the work we’re proud of.
Network Rail – Suicide Prevention Programme
Thoughtscapes has partnered with Network Rail as part of their suicide prevention programme for almost a decade. We’ve produced responsive, in-depth, individually tailored ethnographic reports at over 50 UK stations, and are recognised specialists in suicide prevention in public places, particularly on the rail network.
QUESST – Questioning, Understanding & Evaluating Suicide Surveillance Technologies
Contributing ethnographic insights to a project examining how surveillance technologies are used, understood and evaluated in the context of suicide prevention. This was a multi-institution academic research piece led by The University of Westminster and funded by The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
University of York – Coastal Security & Safety
Fieldwork at UK ports and with the National Coastwatch Institution, exploring safety and security in coastal environments.
Smoking in Pregnancy
Fieldwork on an NHS funded project exploring the barriers to providing smoking cessation programmes to hard-to-reach cohorts of pregnant women.
